PARISH VISION STATEMENT
St. Angela Merici is a parish community of the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, established in June 1958 in White Oak,
Pennsylvania.
The purpose of our parish is to create a loving and caring family, based on Catholic tradition, by celebrating together,
helping one another, and reaching out to all to spread the good news of the gospel.
We create an environment for worship which enables and nourishes each person's relationship to God and neighbor.
We provide social and spiritual services to the parish and others so that all people are touched by our caring.
We maintain and enhance our educational programs for spiritual growth and Catholic faith formation according to the needs
of the people.
We foster a sense of family community identity by stressing awareness of family needs in the parish.
We use all of the channels of communication with imagination to spread the Good News of Christ throughout White Oak and
the world.
We instill a sense of stewardship in each member to share their time, talents and treasure.
